Team "Aventura Social" (www.aventurasocial.com) has developed several investigations in the area of health promotion and social behavior and it's coordinated by Professor Margarida Gaspar de Matos.
Study goals:
1) How to children see their quality of life? Do parents' perceptions are identical? Are there gender, age, or socioeconomic status differences? And in situations of special needs for education and health? And in migration scenarios?
2) How are Portuguese adolescents and how do they live? Which behaviors threaten and protect their health? How do they see the school and the future? Are there gender, age, or socioeconomic status differences? And in situations of special needs for education and health? And in migration scenarios? Has this pattern evolved over the past 12 years? And compared to other European countries?
3) How are Portuguese in University and how do they live? Which behaviors threaten and protect their health? Are there gender or age differences? (specific focus on sexuality and sexual health).
4) In a institutional and community level, are there effective interventions in promoting children and young people 's health , competence, self -regulation, social support, participation in citizenship and life satisfaction?
